Pilates for Busy Professionals & Complete Beginners
For the executive who sits all day
Back-to-back meetings, long flights, and a body that's been carrying all of it.

For the beginner who'd rather not start in a busy studio
Curious about Pilates, but a packed class never felt like the place to learn.

MEET YOUR PRIVATE PILATES INSTRUCTOR
Angela, Founder of Gentle Pilates
Angela trained as a physiotherapist in Australia and worked in hospitals and private practice before Pilates found her. After a move to Singapore and a season of big change, it was the thing that steadied her. She began teaching in 2023, completed every level on every apparatus within two years, and was fully booked with a waitlist within six months.
Her clients put it simply: she's more of a coach than an instructor. She brings a physiotherapist's understanding of the body together with a love of movement, and shapes every hour around the person in front of her.

HER PHILOSOPHY
Why Gentle Pilates
A busy life shows up in the body: in tight shoulders, shallow breathing, a back that aches by evening. Angela's approach is the same in her private studio and in her online programmes. Move with care, understand why, and let the progress build.
Gentle, never rushed
In the studio: each hour adapts to how you're feeling that day.
In her online programmes: Short flexible sessions that fit around your day, with lifetime access to pause, repeat or return whenever you need.
Every movement has a reason, and you'll understand it.
In the studio: Angela explains what each exercise is doing for you.
In her online programmes: every movement is explained, not just demonstrated. Introduction to Pilates teaches you the foundations the way she teaches a first private session.
Progress you can feel
In the studio: a deeper breath, one more rep, a new exercise unlocked, all noticed and cheered.
In her online programmes: 7 Days to Better Posture, builds session by session, from your deepest core muscles to a full body flow on day seven, so you truly feel the difference confidently rather than hope for it.
THE METHOD
How Private Pilates Works:
Rehabilitation, Prevention and Personalisation
Angela's private sessions follow three ideas, shaped by her physiotherapy training.
Most clients move from the first to the second over time. The third shapes every hour along the way.
Rehabilitation
Working with the pain, injury or surgery that brought you in, as part of the whole body. About half of each session focuses on that area. The rest goes to everything that has been compensating around it, moving in every direction across the reformer, cadillac, chair, barrel and mat.
Prevention
Dedicated sessions to keep your mobility, strength and health at their best. A body that moves freely is less likely to slip back into pain or pick up a new injury, especially as the years go on. The hardest part is staying consistent, and that's what the regular hour is for.
Personalisation
Personalisation begins the moment you walk in: how you move, what you're protecting, what's quietly compensating. Then come questions about your history, your goals and your working day, and a movement or two, like a bridge or a roll-up. There's always a plan, and it's always shaped by how your body feels that day.

What Clients are Saying
FAQS
Answering your
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Clinical Pilates is Pilates delivered by someone with clinical training, designed around an individual assessment rather than a set sequence. A reformer class teaches one programme to a whole room. Clinical Pilates begins with how your body actually moves — what it protects, where it compensates — and builds the session from there.
-
For most people it does considerably more than manage it. Lower back pain is often the result of other areas not contributing — hips, mid-back, deep abdominals. Pilates rebuilds that contribution, which addresses the cause rather than the symptom. Many clients arrive at 8 out of 10 pain and reach zero within ten sessions.
-
Yes, and it's one of the most common ways people start. The first session teaches the foundations alongside basic exercises, at whatever pace suits your body. Nobody is asked to keep up with anyone, and nobody is made to feel foolish for not understanding a movement the first time.
-
Angela teaches one-to-one sessions in Singapore, and is opening a private studio in Adelaide, South Australia. Studio locations are shared directly when a session is confirmed. The online programmes are available anywhere in the world.
-
The Adelaide studio is opening and bookings are not yet live. You can register your interest now — Angela contacts that list directly with dates and rates before they're announced publicly, and places are expected to be limited from the first week.
-
Yes, with the right programming — post-natal recovery and post-operative rehabilitation are among the most common reasons clients come. Sessions are built around your surgical site, your stage of recovery and any restrictions you've been given, and progress only when your body is ready for the next step.
-
A single one-to-one session is SGD 250, five sessions are SGD 1,100 and ten are SGD 2,000. Each session is one hour, one-to-one, with notes kept and progressions planned between sessions.
-
No. Many clients are referred by their physiotherapist, but a referral isn't required. If you're currently under the care of a surgeon or physiotherapist, bring their advice with you — it shapes how the first few sessions are sequenced.
-
It works when it is guided and finite. An unstructured video library rarely produces change because nothing sequences it. Both programmes are ordered, cumulative and have a stated end point — seven days to better posture, or a full foundation in Pilates — so improvement is expected rather than hoped for.
